Just wanted to update everyone who has been supporting me and voting through all this that we have no word yet on the official results of the remix contest.

As it stands now, I am in first place with 1727 votes with 2nd place being at 1421.  The contest was supposed to have ended yesterday, but I have received almost 100 votes today.  I’m not sure what’s happening, and the wait is killing me.  Hopefully it will wrap up soon.

Isaac did tweet today that mine had by far the most votes and was “well executed.”  Hopefully that’s a good sign.  I’ll let everyone know when I hear something else.  Thanks so much for the votes, the retweets, the facebook posts, and everything.  It really means a lot.

Oh my goodness friends!  I woke up to find myself in 2nd place by 2 votes!  If I can keep it there, then my remix will actually be released by Hanson on their UK single.  This is so exciting.  Thank you for voting and keep doing it!

I have hesitated to blog because I have wanted to keep the Hanson Remix info as close to the top of my website as possible.  However, there are so many exciting things happening, that if I don’t blog soon, I’ll never catch up.

First things first, the Hanson Remix:

I am currently in 2nd place, with only 65 votes from 2nd.  Getting to 2nd would be amazing because I would actually have my remix on Hanson’s UK Single release of Give A  Little.  So if you haven’t voted (or can find ways to vote again), do it!  Just click this link and then click the word vote.  It’s as easy as that.

Next, Dana Jorgensen’s Record “Everything to Beautiful” released today.  I spent most of my December and January working on this record.  It is the most I have been involved with the creation of an album, and I am so proud of it.  I did guitar work and/or programming on almost every song on there.  Over the next couple days, I will post some of my favorites for you to hear.  You should however, just go pick up a copy for yourself.  Here’s the iTunes link.

In other Dana Jorgensen news, we’re recording a live CD/DVD for him on Sunday.  We’re in crazy rehearsal mode right now trying to prepare.  I can’t wait to share some of the experience with you.

Fourth, Sarah McCary’s record is coming along nicely.  We’ve almost finished all of the instrumental tracking.  We’ll start vocals soon.  I’m excited to share it with you all.

Finally, I’ve been trying to write a lot more lately and today finally put most of the finishing touches on a song I’ve been working on with my friend James Sweeting on for about 8 months now.  It’s been a hard song to finish, be we couldn’t be more excited about it.  I hope to put a demo up here soon.
