🖋️Another ATL Pen Show Acquisition. Not a new pen, but a new nib grind and ink. The grind and ink took this pen from one I liked to one I love. It’s Mark Bacas’s version of a Naginata Togi nib, and it is my first specialty grind. I absolutely love it.
Star Wars Rebels is my favorite Star Wars property. To see all these characters appear in live action in this trailer made my heart swell this morning.
🖋️Next Atlanta Pen Show purchase. I’ve seen pictures of Vanishing Points, but never got the appeal. Seeing them in person, I was immediately drawn to this (hard to photograph) Blue Matte. I’ve read @brad raving about this ink for years, so I had to try it. I love the subdued pen/bright ink combo!

I really enjoyed this video from CGP Grey. And I’m proud that 2/3 states I’ve lived in were A tier. Not so proud of the grade my home state, Georgia, received.
🖋️Atlanta Pen Show Haul items 2 & 3. This is a great example of why shows are great. I wanted to try this nib and an Estie badly. As soon as I walked up to the Kenro booth, this finish called my name, and the nib is great. And this ink! It’s like a shimmery Shin-kai (maybe a shade lighter).
With Feedbin losing twitter access, I’m struggling to figure out how to follow the sports writers and sites I care about without loading twitter itself. 247sports doesn’t even have RSS.
I wish twitter would just shut down so communities other than tech nerds would leave as well.
🖋️The first thing I purchased at the Atlanta Pen Show is this gorgeous Charlotte model from Jonathon Brooks’s Carolina Pen Company. I’ve admired his resins for years and am so proud to have this in my collection. The Auburn colors sealed the deal. He was nice enough to ink it up for me as well.

🖋️ Not gonna sleep well tonight. I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve because I head to the Atlanta Pen Show tomorrow! This is my second time attending, and a I’ve been counting down the days. With no pen stores near me, it’s my only real chance to see things in person. Let’s see what I come home with.
20 years ago, in the same Atlanta arena, a 16 year old Craig went to his first John Mayer concert. Tonight was my 15th, and probably favorite. 100% solo, and a celebration of songs that have been my life’s soundtrack.
🔗 Three children killed, shooter dead at The Covenant School on Monday
The kids of some of our closest friends go to school here. They are safe, but 3 of their peers aren’t, and school is no longer safe for any of those families.
Tell me again how gun rights are more important than these children.
📺 Last night, my wife and I completed our 3rd watch through of “Crazy Ex Girlfriend”, and it gets better every time we watch. It’s one of the most creative, smartest, funniest TV shows to have ever been made. Rachel Bloom is a genius.

Super challenging, but like everything John Mark puts out, really valuable.
I understand why YouTubers need to put out content quickly, but with a job and family, I can’t watch The Mandalorian until 8pm after it drops at midnight and am tired of spoilers in my timeline.
So I made a shortcut I activate on Wednesdays to automatically switch to another app if I open YouTube.
People sometimes ask me what it’s like for both my wife and I to work from home. We work in different rooms, so it’s mostly just text messages to each other about how much coffee is left in the pot, and when I’m going to make more. 😂

This is a Casa della Stilografica exclusive Leonardo Furore Flame Grande. It’s number 29/43, and comes with Leonardo Arancio ink. It’s a perfect Craig pen.
🖋️My favorite pen. Purchased when my wife and I were in Florence Italy last December from the amazing Casa della Stilografica. It pairs so beautifully with Yama Budo. An amazing memory saved in a beautiful pen.
📺 So glad I pushed through “The Last of Us” after I initially gave up 20 minutes into the first episode. As someone who normally just watches comedies, I was stressed the entire time. But dang if it wasn’t absolutely incredible all the way around.
It still makes me a bit sad that I gave up my iPad Pro because I used to love it so much. But having had my MacBook Air for a month now, I can say it was the right call. Even for dumb tasks like dealing with my taxes, it was so much easier to handle all the files.
